Stonington, Maine is home to a diverse group of galleries and studios featuring fine art and craft. With a long history as a destination for artists, Stonington has a thriving arts community amid one of the busiest fishing villages on the coast.

On the first Friday of every  month, July through October, Stonington Galleries  hosts the First Friday Open Gallery Night. Galleries and studios open their doors to visitors from 4 to 7 pm, showcasing their newest available work in a festive atmosphere. Come Join the fun!

After touring the galleries, plan on relaxing in one of Stonington's restaurants, or take-in a show at the Opera House. If you need a ride, Eddie's Island Taxi can be your guide and shuttle you to all the galleries.
